Muriel is a very friendly and responsive host. In early May we were the first guests to stay in apartment Arty after she and her husband completed a major renovation. Two very minor issues we had were immediately resolved. The apartment is well equipped and more spacious than the pictures suggest. Also it was perfectly clean and it has comfortable beds.The estate is beautifully situated in a quiet area and offers nice views of the Normandy countryside. Supermarkets (Bayeux), bakeries, restaurants and Omaha beach are all within 10km. Highly recommended if you're looking for a quiet stay in a beautiful part of Normandy. And if actions speak louder than words: we're staying there again this summer.

I would highly recommend staying here. Muriel was an amazing host - very responsive & friendly.The cottage has everything you could want, is clean and very peaceful - guaranteed a good nights sleep here. Amazing views over the valley and well positioned benches to sit and watch the sunset. Location is perfect, about 15 mins drive from Bayeux where there are some great restaurants and historical sites. A short drive to Omaha beach and many other world war 2 sites. It was a truly immersive experience. I will definitely be revising in the future!

We spent a week at this beautiful house in July and were very pleasantly surprised. Not only is the house beautifully and comfortably maintained, but you notice from the beginning the dedication and live that Muriel puts into running her property. She is super friendly and welcoming and has great tips on food/excursions for her guests. I don't think I have to go into details about the treasures of Normandy, but staying at such a gem makes the whole experience exceptionally good. I can highly recommend it.

Beautiful location close to the invasion beaches. Hostess speaks excellent English and has lots of tips on what to do in the area. Apartment is spacious and very neat and clean. From garden is a delight, so beautiful and spacious. Also a good base for walks and cycling. An excellent place to unwind and enjoy.

Discovery of Normandy
For this first stay in Normandy we could not have found better: a warm, courteous but discreet welcome, the availability of Muriel CHAUDET the hostess, a typical place in a longère part of a converted farmhouse and linked to the landing in its history clean, in the countryside, quiet, not far from Colleville, a modern apartment, well decorated, comfortable and well equipped. Well located for visiting the region, this bucolic haven seduced us and just makes us want to go back...

Near Bayeux in the calm of the Normandy countryside and close to the landing beaches, I had the chance to stay in June at the Domaine de Houtteville. You should know that the new owners have refreshed the three cottages and reviewed all the decoration and the result is there! For golfers, the Omaha Beach golf course in Port en Bessin does not have to look far. It offers 2 18-hole courses between land and sea, it is paradise. The Domaine de Houtteville is managed by Muriel Chaudet, whom I thank for her welcome and her wise advice for visiting the surroundings, which she knows well.

We stayed at Gîte Harmony for a week, and enjoyed our stay. Beautiful quiet environment, hilly and close to the beach and many sites.At the end of the day, we returned by the long path to our lodging, where we could cook and sit in the garden. There were nice sunbeds too! Muriel makes sure the house is beautiful and the beds are very well made on arrival. Everything is there, from the washing machine and dryer to the oven, all kinds of kitchen utensils, and a magnificent sauna. Two hens sneak into the field, we appreciated them!
